Liberty Business Associates, LLC is a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) founded in 2002 by Elizabeth Robertson and John Scholz providing professional, technical, and consulting services to both government and commercial clients.
Operating throughout the Southeast to the Midwest, Liberty is currently supporting both Army and Navy customers on several sequential contracts. As of 2022, we have supported multiple Army customers for 9 years continuously and a Navy customer for 12 years as a prime contractor. Liberty also has several corporate partners for over a decade.
Our vision is to be the Best SMALL business, employees, clients, and industry partners want to work with and this begins with effective communications, consistent performance, and responsive management. These traits coupled with our values are the foundation to our mission to support the American Warfighter and have been acknowledged by our customers.
Elizabeth M. Robertson, PMP
President
Beth Robertson has over 30 years of consulting experience with program and project management for a wide variety of government and defense clients. As Liberty’s President, Beth’s primary responsibilities are business development and strategic direction; she also provides direct program management oversight for several client projects. Beth holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Old Dominion University and has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2004. She was on the boards for both CDCA and PMI, and is a member of several professional organizations, including PMI Charleston Chapter, Charleston Defense Contractors Association, Palmetto Women in Defense and Lowcountry AFCEA.
John Scholz
Executive Vice President
John Scholz has over 30 years of program management and consulting experience in finance, management, contracts, business process, and logistics. He’s a graduate of The Citadel and former Navy Supply Corp Officer. John’s primary responsibilities include oversight of all contractual and financial controls, regulatory compliance, company policies, and operational procedures. He is also responsible for oversight of network and facility security. John’s accomplishments include developing a small-business operations improvement and process control methodology and serving as lead consultant on projects to develop, document, and implement procedural changes to improve project management, project efficiency, cost controls, and risk mitigation.
